Hi and thanks for stopping by!
My first encounter with a mortgage broker several years ago was so bad that I vowed that I would never treat people with such disrespect by not doing a thorough and accurate job for them! Our homes are more than just an investment; they are our safe haven and the central hub of our lives!
I have worked in the finance industry for almost 9 years and in the mortgage industry for over two years, with several repeat clients. I am fully licensed in both Oregon and Washington.
I hold a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree and I am working on my Doctoral degree (yes, education is important to me! The more we know, the better off we are!)
I regularly attend a small church in North Portland where I have taught Sunday School for the last 8 years. I have been on the board of that church for the last 5 years. (yes, my faith is important to me as well!)
The reasons I switched and started working for Mortgage Express are:
1. I can usually get a deal completed from beginning to end in less than two weeks. This company is fast!
2. I have control over my pricing! This means that I can get you a terrific rate without being forced to charge you an arm and a leg by my boss!
3. Access to wholesale pricing. This is important because brokers don't just shop for the best rate for you; often times we are also granted access to better pricing than what an individual bank may give you if you walked into one of their branches on your own. This means that even paying a broker fee, your costs can end up being considerably less by using a licensed broker.
My philosophy is simple: Giving the best deal does not make me rich, but it does keep me busy with referrals! Gone are the days of the "home run" deal when a broker needed to close just 2 loans per month to make a good living. I'd much rather give you the best deal upfront and make a little, but then be trusted with your friends and neighbors to give them great pricing and service as well!
Feel free to contact me (evenings are fine too!) with any questions or for a free rate quote!
All the best,
Jon
